Sherry Franklin, MD, currently serves as Medical Director at United Healthcare, Children’s Healthcare Medical Associate as well as Assistant Clinical Professor at UC San Diego. She has been board certified in pediatric endocrinology since 2003. Dr. Franklin received her medical degree in 1995, at Texas A&M University. She began her clinical training in general pediatrics at Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina. Dr. Franklin furthered her training in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes at the UCLA Medical Center, training with world renowned experts in diabetes, obesity and disorders of growth. She was also awarded an appointment as a Clinical Instructor at UCLA. Dr. Franklin has served as the Past President of the San Diego Medical Society and is currently affiliated UCSD Medical Hospital and Rady Children’s Hospital.
