For Researchers

Thank you for your interest in Wholistic Research and Education Foundation’s Grants Program.

Our objective is to fund novel research projects to explore how CBD-rich therapeutics may impact serious health conditions, including sleep disorders, anxiety and depression, psychosis, inflammation, seizures, autism, neuro-generative disorders and cancer. We are interested in supporting multi-disciplinary research projects that consider how genetic variations, modes of delivery, and varying doses of CBD, THC or other cannabinoids may alter research outcomes for different populations.

To apply for funding, research organizations should submit a 2-3 page letter of inquiry (LOI) to inquiry@wholistic.org. LOIs should include information about the amount of funding being requested and the expected duration of the project. We will update grant-seekers about the status of their application within a month of submittal, and let them know whether they will proceed to the next stage of the grant review process.

We have designed our grant making process so that we only request additional information and meetings as long as we see strong potential that the proposal will be a good fit for us.

“This unique study will not only answer important questions about how CBD and THC affect brain function but will also provide critical experience, data and infrastructure that will allow our team to continue to effectively compete for research funding from the National Institutes of Health and other funding agencies to extend our findings into clinical trials and pursue new avenues of research opened up by these results.”
