Ted Roth has over 30 years of investment and management experience in a range of industries from venture technology to established natural resource and industrial companies. Ted is currently Chairman and CEO of Systems Mobile Inc., a content and media SaaS company with operations throughout Latin America. Previously, Ted was managing partner of Totem Investment Partners, a venture fund focused on early-stage technology investments and active public market investing. Ted has been an active investor and board member for over 25 companies ranging from digital transformation technologies, media, manufacturing, real estate, and medical devices. Portfolio companies have included Captiva (IPO, acquired by EMC/Dell), Marcom Central (acquired by Ricoh), CD Radio (now Sirius/XM), Electrocom Automation (IPO, acquired by Siemens), and Inetcam (private sale).
Previously, Ted, was CEO of Totem Enterprises, Inc., a management company for a family office with diversified international holdings and CFO of Minera Yolanda, a Chilean minerals start-up company. He was instrumental in the public/private financing structuring, IPO and sale of that company to Nutrien. Ted holds an accounting degree from the University of Illinois and a JD from Marquette University. Ted has been an active advisor and board member with numerous non-profit organizations, including the San Diego Chamber Orchestra, Old Globe Theatre, United Way, Special Olympics and Rancho Santa Fe Community Center.
